Dr.  Tao  Ma
Shanghai Jiao Tong University,  China

Title: Energy storage for built environment: enhancing energy flexibility and renewable energy self-consumption

Biography:

Dr Ma is an assistant professor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He received the B.S. degree in Central South University in 2010 and the Ph.D. degree in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in January 2015, and then joined SJTU in 2016. Dr Ma's research are mainly related to the renewable energy applications, flexible energy systems, and energy storage technologies. He has already published 20+ international peer-reviewed journal papers with high impact (JCR Q1). In particular, his two papers have been indexed in Essential Science Indicators (ESI) as hot papers and four papers indexed in ESI as highly cited papers. Currently his h-index is 12 in Web of Science. Now he is the assistant subject editor of Applied Energy, the editorial board member of several journals including Energy Research journal, and the guest editor for several special issues. Dr Ma received a number of awards, including Applied Energy Highly Cited Research Paper award, Outstanding PhD Thesis award, Best Paper award, Elsevier Outstanding Reviewer and so on. Currently he is the PI and Co-PI of some projects supported China and Hong Kong.
